The Back Story
Hi, and thanks for taking a look at my Old Time Photo mats. If you have questions or want to place an order please email or call me and I’ll help you personally.
My mats have been a staple of the Old Time Photo industry for years now. The Original Scroll design was first introduced in 1976 and continues to be a best seller today. Recent updates are the rescaled Deluxe Metallic and Deluxe Lite Metallic designs on our great looking Cocoa Brown, Parchment, or Black cover stocks. All our mats are made using quality cover paper, not just printed on plain cardstock. We think they look better that way. The Parchment mats and Cocoa mats are made with recycled paper and are acid free to resist fading. The Black mats are 100% post consumer recycled. All of our mats have a sturdy backer attached, and slip right into standard frames.
A little about me. Back in 1976 I was a pressman in a print shop when Kathy Bloodgood (now Bloomer) came in to have a mat made for her new Old Time Photo business (now Professor Bloodgood’s Central Casting). In a way I was there from the beginning, and some years later opened my own print shop including Kathy as a client and continued to produce her mats. In 1996 I was offered the chance to buy the design rights to her mats and since then have been both manufacturer and distributor. I’m still the press operator too, as well as the order desk and shipping room guy. In short, when you call or email you get the owner of the company to help you with your questions and orders.
Thanks again for looking,
